Redefine Success
That especially in times of darkness and heartbreak, He has better and perfect plans for us better than we’ll ever know in the present [Jeremiah 29:11: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”.]
That when we experience suffering, we gain the experience and insight that helps us offer healing and grace unto others. And for when we endure pain, that He’s always there with us even when we don’t see Him. That’s faith. [2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV): “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”]
That we must not rely on the material or temporary things and remedies of this world, but rather look to God who’s loved us all along despite our flaws and shortcomings, and we’ll not just find that love within ourselves, but also pave the way for our lives to change for the better. Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
And finally, how God calls us to forgive others unconditionally, not out of pride but of humility and love.
